Karra is a small town girl from Southern Indiana. She first picked up a camera at age 15 and she hasn’t put it down since! She graduated with a B.A. in photography from Southern Illinois University in 1999. After graduation, she moved here, to the BIG CITY to start her photo career. Karra started photographing weddings after she met Chris in 2001. She enjoys being a part of so many special days and loves to bring her own unique artistic sensibility and personality to every wedding she photographs. In addition to her work at Chris’s studio, Karra is currently teaching after school photo classes for high school students in Chicago and working on her teaching certification at Northeastern Illinois University.

Shelley first met Chris when she started searching for a photographer for her June 2007 wedding. She became studio manager at Chris Guillen Photography after their initial meeting. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Missouri-Columbia. As well as organizing the studio, Shelley enjoys photography. Her passion began at the age of 15 and continues to grow each time she reaches for a camera. She has photographed many weddings and loves being able to document such an important day. Since Shelley planned her own wedding, she loves to talk with other couples as they prepare for their weddings. Are anyone else’s colors lime green and orange?

Kristin first started working with the Chris Guillen Photography Group in the summer of 2007. She has loved all things photography ever since she was a little girl shooting with her neon orange teenage mutant ninja turtle camera. In her eyes, photography is not only a job, but a passion. When she is not working in the studio or at the darkroom, Kristin is studying to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography during her last semester at Columbia College Chicago.
