Our Philosophy

The philosophy of Chris Guillen Photography is simple: Capture Life. We aspire to tell your life story through our pictures!

We believe that our use of black & white film gives us a unique approach and captures the essence of our subject. We appreciate photos as a special family heirlooms to remember life’s important moments, including children, families, weddings, and anniversaries.

We also believe in an excellent final product, one that you can hold in your hand and cherish. Using a mix of past and present techniques, we print black & whites by hand in our own darkroom and color on beautiful ‘Photo Rag’ paper. This produces results that will last for generations.

As Master Oogway from Kung Fu Panda says, “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That’s why they call it the present.”
